February 9, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm UTC+0
$45Carlo Rizzi may be out of the family business, but Gianni Russo – the actor who played Don Corleone’s son-in-law in the legendary classic “The Godfather” – has plenty of inside stories to spill. Marlon Brando was his acting coach. Frank Sinatra was his singing teacher. And Marilyn Monroe…let’s just say, she taught him plenty. Yes, the man’s got tales – and he’s telling them all at My Father’s Place in this fascinating, informative event which features songs, stories and a Q & A with the audience. Russo has written a new book, Hollywood Godfather: My Life in the Movies and the Mob, a memoir about his colorful, incredible life, which details his associations with infamous mobsters like Frank Costello, Carlo Gambino, and Carlos Marcello, and Hollywood celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, and Francis Ford Coppola. He’ll talk about how the mob impacted his life, how he got the role in The Godfather, and about his various stints as a Las Vegas nightclub emcee, a radio personality, and a jewelry tycoon. It’s a life packed with color and incident, and Gianni Russo is happy to share it all with you.
An added attraction: comic PAT MARONE will stop by to add a few laughs to this all-Italian feast!
